How West Texas Shooter Avoided Background Check

The AP is reporting that a source close to the investigation into the mass shootings in West Texas over the weekend, says he avoided the federal background check by purchasing his weapon and ammunition at a private sale. Investigators say Seth Aaron Ator had previously tried to obtain a gun through a licensed dealer but failed because of mental health issues.
