HS Football and Volleyball Plus Dodgers To Host Braves In Arlington

Tonight on 101.9 KBUS, the Paris Wildcats are back in action after a two-week quarantine. Paris will travel to face district opponent Ranchview in Carrollton. Pregame with Steven Johnston is 7:00 pm with a 7:30 kickoff.

On Mix 107.7, the North Lamar Panthers will kick off district play at 7:30 against Liberty Eylau. Pregame with Adam Routon and myself begins at 7:00 pm.

Other action in the Red River Valley will see Chisum hosting Paul Pewitt. The Mustangs are looking to start the district with a 3-0 record. Meanwhile, Prairiland is looking for their first district win as they travel to take on the third-ranked Daingerfield Tigers.

Clarksville will be traveling to James Bowie, Cooper is at Rivercrest, Honey Grove hosts Celeste, and Detroit is at home against Maud.

On the volleyball court, Prairiland hopes to keep rolling as they play Commerce at home. Paris will look to snap a two-game losing streak as they travel to Gilmer. North Lamar will host Liberty Eylau at home, and Detroit will host Rivercrest.

The game between the Tennessee Titans and Buffalo Bills scheduled for Sunday will take place on Tuesday at 7:00 pm ET, the league announced Thursday. Additionally, the Bills face the Kansas City Chiefs on Thursday Night Football in Week 6, will now square off against the reigning Super Bowl champions on Sunday of that week.

For the first time in franchise history, the Miami Marlins have lost a playoff series as the Atlanta Braves swept them. They will face the LA Dodgers in the NLCS after LA swept the San Diego Padres. Those games will take place at Globe Life Field in Arlington.

In the American League, the Yankees and Rays will play game five of that series tonight after New York’s 5-1 win. The winner will play Houston in the ALCS. The Astros beat Oakland 11-6 to win that series 3-1.
