HS Hoops Tonight Plus Pro Bowl Sunday Night

Paris – high school hoops will be on the air tonight. The 16th ranked Paris Wildcats will be at home to host the Pittsburg Pirates on 101.9 KBUS. The North Lamar Panthers and Liberty Eylau Leopards will be battling to sit in the final playoff spot at Panther gym this evening on MIX 107.7. Both games tip off at approximately 7:30. The Prairiland Patriots and Lady Patriots travel to Mt. Vernon and in a Red River Valley rivalry the Chisum Mustangs host the Cooper Bulldogs. The girls tip off at 6pm. The boys will follow.

Mount Pleasant – Prior to tonight’s district 16-5A basketball game in Longview, Mt. Pleasant Tiger forward, James Moore will sign his letter of intent to play for NAIA Vanguard University at 2pm. The Tigers will then be on the road the face Pine Tree tonight in search of their 11th straight win. The Lady Tigers, meanwhile, will be at Willie Williams gym against the Lady Pirates. Tip off to both games is at 7:30. The Chapel Hill Red Devils and Lady Devils look to stay in contention for a district title at home against Winnboro tonight. The Mt. Vernon boys and girls look to do the same at home against Prairiland. The girls tip off at 6. The boys will follow.

Sulphur Springs – District begins tonight for the Sulphur Springs soccer team. After a successful non-district season, Wildcat soccer begins 16-5A play on the road in Longview against Pine Tree beginning at 7pm. The Sulphur Springs men’s basketball team will also be traveling tonight as they look to keep pace for a district title in a game against Marshall. The Lady Cats are perfect at the top of the standings. They’ll host the Lady Mavs at Wildcat gym. Both games tip off at 7:30. The Mt. Vernon boys and girls look to keep their title hopes in tact at home against Prairiland. The girls tip off at 6. The boys will follow.

Russell Westbrook may not have collected his 24th triple-double of the season, but he did manage 45 points and eight rebounds in the OKC Thunder’s 109-98 win over the Dallas Mavericks. Harrison Barnes dropped in 31 points for the Mavs, who fall to 16-30 on the season. The Thunder at 28-19.

The Dallas Stars beat the Buffalo Sabers 4-3 Thursday night. Patrick Sharp put two in the net, while Jamie Benn and Tyler Seguin were responsible for the other two goals for the Stars. Dallas now has 50 points on the season, 5th in the Central Division standings.

And this weekend will feature the Senior Bowl in college football tomorrow afternoon, kicking off at 1:30. The NFL Pro-Bowl will be Sunday night. Seven Dallas Cowboys will be features, as well as the Cowboys coaching staff over seeing the NFC. Kick off on Sunday is at 7.
