Huge Griddy Electric Bills Forgiven

The 24-thousand customers of the wholesale energy retailer Griddy are no longer obligated to pay them more than $29-million in electric bills they received after the winter storm last month. Texas had sued Griddy for the overbilling under the state’s Deceptive Trade Practices Act, and Griddy had filed for bankruptcy. Attorney General Ken Paxton says good faith negotiations are ongoing to help those who have already paid their bills.
