The Hughes Springs Lady Mustang season fell one game short of bringing home a state championship with an 8-3 loss to Santa Gertrudis Academy in Austin Thursday night. The Lady Mustangs spotted the Lady Lions four runs in the first inning with two errors and just could not get on track. Hughes Springs loses six girls to graduation, five of those are starters. We congratulate the Lady Mustangs on a great season and know they’ll be back!

LeBron James with a performance of a lifetime as he drops 51 points, had 8 rebounds and 8 assists. Steph Curry led the Warriors with 29. Game 2 is Sunday night at 7:00 pm
