Hugo Man Sentenced For Murder

A court sentenced 19-year-old Ashton Smith of Hugo to ten years in federal prison after pleading guilty to second-degree murder. Smith admitted that he and an accomplice waited outside the victim’s home to rob him. The accomplice shot the victim several times. Smith is not eligible for parole.
