Homeland Security Investigations says North Texas has become one of the five busiest spots in the country for human trafficking. The agency has launched the “Blue Campaign” to help business owners, hotel clerks, teachers, and others recognize exploitation signs. Human trafficking arrests increased 251% last year, and Homeland Security identified 185% more victims. Human trafficking was a $150 billion industry last year, behind only narcotics for illegal trade.
