Hunt County Sentencing Hearing For Man Originally Charged With Capital Murder

A sentencing trial is scheduled for today and tomorrow in Hunt County for one-of-two people charged with capital murder in Royse City. Twenty-year-old Calvin Earl Rayford of Rowlett has pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of manslaughter. He has agreed to testify against the other defendant, Dearis Rayvone Davis of Arlington. Rayford entered an open plea, meaning that he was not offered any guaranteed sentence due to the plea bargain.
