Hunt County Woman Sentenced For Continuous Human Trafficking

Hunt County convicted a Greenville woman of Continuous Trafficking of a Child. The court sentenced Barbara Jean Barrett to 99 years in prison. Barrett and her husband, Jeffery, were accused of abusing and neglecting their adopted children, forcing them to work at a puppy mill at their home. The Texas Attorney General’s Office assisted the Hunt County District Attorney’s Office in prosecuting the case.
