Texas Democrats plan to challenge a new executive order from the governor’s office. Governor Greg Abbott is demanding that the state’s hospitals account for the cost of treating illegal immigrants. Congressman Al Green says this is nothing more than a political stunt. He says migrants pay taxes, too. A new report from the Institute on Taxation and Economic Policy found that Texas receives about $5 billion annually from those in the country illegally. That data collection starts in November.
