An Upshur County Jail inmate has died after being found unresponsive in his cell. Sheriff Larry Webb said 53-year-old Mark Wayne Stovall of Winnsboro was on medical watch. Jail staff reportedly found him unresponsive and “immediately entered the cell and began to perform CPR. EMS then took over but was unable to revive Stovall. Texas Rangers are investigating, and they sent the body for an autopsy. Authorities said they jailed Stovall on March 31 on a bond forfeiture warrant.
