A Pontotoc County man who spent 30 years in prison after being convicted of sexual assault and robbery is now a free man. Officials freed 56-year-old Perry Lott after he applied for the Innocence Project in 2004, and new testing done in 2014 showed that Lott’s DNA was not in the victim’s rape kit. Lott’s sentence was commuted to “time served” and he is now living in Oklahoma City.
