Is Flood Insurance Necessary

Many North Texas neighborhoods are now dealing with yesterday’s flooding. It occurred in parts that usually flood. Rich Johnson with the Insurance Council of Texas says flood insurance can be helpful, even if you don’t live near a river or the Texas coast. He says only about 14 percent of people in Texas have flood insurance.
