A judge in Henderson County has granted immunity to two Union Pacific employees who were operating a train involved in an Athens ISD bus crash that killed one child and injured another. The judge granted the immunity in exchange of their testimony in the trial of the bus driver, 80-year-old John Franklin Stevens of Mabank. He’s charged with criminally negligent homicide and injury to a child.
