Kindergarten winners: Dalilah Aguinaga and Giselle Ibarra Herrera
National Education Association’s (NEA’s) Read Across America Week is a nationwide reading celebration annually in the first week of March. Across the country, thousands of schools and libraries participate by bringing together kids, families, and books. Justiss Elementary hosted a bookmark contest and asked students to create their bookmarks while reading. The school chose winners from each grade level based on the student’s artistic detail and creative reading theme.
1st Grade winners: Kacee Crittenden and Landyn Williams
2nd Grade winners: Ashyree Iriarte and Jasmin Cass
3rd Grade winners: Hamna Mozo and Joshua Hunt
4th Grade winners: Efrain Dimas, Serenity Beard, Kamille Earls, Ryleigh Sims, and Alan Castillo
