Lamar County Burn Ban Expires

The Lamar County Commissioners Court has let the ten-day ban on outdoor burning expire. Emergency Management Coordinator Quincy Blount recommended that the ban not be renewed but stressed that we are still in a drought and conditions should be carefully monitored. Blount also recommended that commissioners extend the COVID disaster declaration for 90 days. Initially, it expired on October 31.
