Lamar County Burn Ban Rescinded

Due to improved weather conditions, consultations with Lamar County Volunteer Fire Departments, the Texas Forest Service and  the Emergency Management Coordinator, Lamar County Judge Chuck Superville has rescinded the Emergency Burn Ban issued last Thursday for all unincorporated areas of the county. Anyone doing outdoor burning should still exercise extreme caution.  The judge and the commissioners will revisit the implementation on a  burn ban in the coming days and weeks.
