Lamar County Commissioners Sell Certificates Of Obligation

The Lamar County Commissioners’ Court has sold $4.5 million in Certificates of Obligation. The county got a 1% interest rate. Funds raised by the bond sale will be for road and bridge repair equipment, new doors at the jail, and repairs to the courthouse’s roof and air conditioning system. The county now has a AA rating from Moody’s, the highest in the county’s history.
