Lamar County Commissioners Working On Budget

Lamar County Commissioners will resume budget talks on July 6. Salary increases will be a big issue in the negotiations, and the Sheriff’s office is seeking an 8% increase in both deputy and detention officer pay and two new vehicles. Both District Judges and the District Attorney are asking for significant supplemental stipends to their salaries.
