Lamar County Controlled Burn Gets Out Of Control

A controlled burn at the corner of Lamar CR 42200 and Givens Road got out of control Friday afternoon. About 170 acres were involved in the blaze, and firefighters from 12 volunteer departments responded to get the fire under control. No structures were damaged.
