Lamar County Deputies Investigating Fire Near Arthur City

Lamar County deputies are investigating the cause of a fire that destroyed a vacant mobile home off Hwy 271 near Arthur City. The structure was completely engulfed in flames when firefighters from Powderly, Faught, Lamar Point and Chicota arrived on the scene at about 3:30am. They battled the blaze for about 2 hours. There were no injuries reported.
