Lamar County Deputies Investigating Roxton Shooting Death

Lamar County Deputies are investigating a New Year’s Day shooting in Roxton that left a 34-year-old man dead.  Deputies responded to ‘shots fired’ and an assault at a house on Wight Street and found Justin Lloyd Springer shot once in the abdomen. He died later at a Dallas hospital. He was reportedly a relative of the people who lived at the house and was shot after an argument. No arrests have been made and the investigation is continuing.
