Lamar County Extends Burn Ban

Despite Thursday’s rain, Lamar County Commissioners have extended the ban on outdoor burning in unincorporated portions of the county for another 21 days. Triple-digit temperatures are expected to continue, and the rain moisture will soon dry up. Less than half an inch of rain was reported at Cox Field.
