Paris police are continuing their investigation into a real estate scam.  The victim told investigators that he gave $6,000 as a downpayment  to a person he knew to buy a home on NW 27th St. The victim then found that the suspect did not own or have authorization to sell the house.

Thirty-five-year-old Brett Kyle Wood was arrested by Lamar County deputies for Assault of a Family or Household Member  by Impeding Breath or Circulation.  Bond was set at $7,500.

State Tropers arrested 32-year-old Aaron Donald Haley in Lamar County on a Red River County warrant for Abandoning or Endangering a Child with Imminent Danger.  HE was also charged with Possession of More than 1 but less than 4 grams of a Controlled Substance and two misdemeanors. HE’s being held in the Lamar County jail in lieu of $8,300 bond.

Thirty-nine-year-old Joe William Acevedo was arrested by Lamar County deputies for Bond Surrender on two counts of Possession of Controlled Substances. He was also  charged with Violation of the Parole he was on,. He’s being held in the Lamar County jail without bond.

Lamar County deputies arrested 53-year-old David Andrew Krebsbach shortly after midnight Friday. He was charged with 2 counts of Indecency with A Child by Sexual Contact. Bond was set at $50,000 on the first count but not set on the other. At last report he was being held in the Lamar County Jail.

Paris police arrested 58-year-old Jimmy Wayne McGhee Friday on 3 outstanding felony warrants. McGhee is being held without bond in the Lamar County jail on 3 counts of Violation of Probation for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
