After deliberating for about three hours, a Lamar County jury convicted 18-year-old Dykalen Donnell Douglas of Involuntary Manslaughter. Court documents say Douglas and 31-year-old Hireal Shawn Rios got into an altercation on West Cherry Street. Douglas retrieved a rifle from his vehicle and shot Rios. The jury sentenced Douglas to 18 months in State Jail.
