The attorney for the 19 year old Ashley Morrison, the Lamar County woman charged with murdering her boyfriend’s grandmother at her home in Powderly filed a motion to suppress statements she made during her interviews with law enforcement. The judge is expected to rule on the motion before jury selection in April. Morrison’s then boyfriend, Christian Sims pleaded guilty in the case and was sentenced to 35 years in prison. The couple was arrested in Oklahoma just hours after Annie Sims was fatally shot.
