Lamar County Sheriff’s Debit Card Skimming

The Lamar County Sheriff’s Office posted on its Facebook page that numerous area residents have been hit with fraudulent charges on their debit cards. Investigators say it is most likely the result of “skimming devices” that obtained the cardholder’s pin numbers. Everyone is asked to check their bank statements and to contact their bank if their account has been targeted.
