Lamar County Traffic Stop Leads To Drug Bust

Lamar County Sheriff’s and Paris PD Narcotics Officers conducted a traffic stop on a man who had been the subject of prior narcotics investigations. During a short pursuit, the suspect, identified as Michael Wade Atteberry, allegedly threw something out of his vehicle. That was later determined to be 30 grams of methamphetamine. Also found during the traffic stop was a glass pipe and $800 in cash. Atteberry was arrested for manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and an expired registration.
