Lauren Alaina And Kane Brown’s Middle School Days In Today’s Nashville Insider

Lauren Alaina tells People magazine that she discovered Kane Brown during their middle school choir class. “He was very, very shy. We were sitting in class one day and I heard him humming, and I was like, ‘Can you sing?’ And he said, ‘No, I don’t sing in front of people.’ And I was like, ‘Well, you’re going to today.’ He was even better than I thought he would be. When he started singing, I was like ‘Stop singing! I want to be the best singer in class.”

Luke Combs tells CMT that he traded in his $1,000 Dodge Neon for a $70,000 F-250 truck. “I was driving a 2000 Dodge Neon, the same car I had since I was 16. So that was my thing, I had always had that little car. Everybody told me I looked like a Donkey Kong in Mario Kart, driving the little Dodge Neon around. And it had 160,000 miles on it or something like that. It would smoke when I stopped when it wasn’t moving. It was definitely an embarrassing car to be caught in, but it got me a lot of places.”

Darius Rucker tells the Morning Call that he always tells his band to sound more country. “I know that I’m saying to my people to be more country, but I think that rock thing in my voice is just always going to come out. I think no matter what I do, no matter how much twang I sing with, it’s just always going to come out.”

Dierks Bentley tells People magazine that he often takes his children to a Nashville food bank to pack meals for families in need. “I have three kids and I think a lot about trying to set them up for success as far as values and morals and traditions we have. I’m just trying to raise some good kids.”

Florida Georgia Line’s Tyler Hubbard says the group wants to continue to collaborate with pop stars. “I think it’d be cool, if we’re continuing to get out of the country world, you know, and do something out of our box, we’ve got a lot of respect for Bruno Mars. I think he’s amazing. Justin Timberlake’s amazing. I think we could do something cool together. You know who else is random that I think would be fun to work with Cardi B. I don’t know, that’s so random, but I think that’d be cool.

Insider magazine claims the pale pink Versace gown that Taylor Swift wore on the red carpet at the Billboard Music Awards took designers over 800 hours to create.
