Lawsuit: Texas School District Welcomed Convicted Teacher

A federal lawsuit says a Texas school district permitted a former teacher who had sexual contact with a student to be involved in school organizations and allowed her on the district-owned property to watch sports games where the student participated. The lawsuit filed by the student claims the Abbott ISD created a “hostile educational environment” for the student and engaged in behavior aimed to chill the reporting of harassment and misconduct.
