Legislature To Vote On Transgender Sports

The Texas legislature will vote today on a divisive bill that affects high school sports. Up for a vote today on the house floor, the bill would ban transgender participation in girls’ high school sports. The author, State Rep. Valoree Swanson, says it’s needed to level the playing field. In addition, it would ban high schoolers from using an amended birth certificate.
