The LeTourneau University men’s tennis team has added Alex Hernandez for the 2016-17 season.

Alex Hernandez – Deer Park, Texas

Hernandez has been a four-year letter winner and a four-time regional qualifier at Deer Park High School. He advanced to the regional quarterfinals as a junior and as a senior. Hernandez also earned an academic letter for his efforts in the classroom. At LeTourneau, he plans on majoring in civil engineering. He is the son of Ramon and Sharon Hernandez.

Head Coach Suzanne Merritt is thrilled to welcome Hernandez to the tennis family. “Alex is an outstanding player and a great person that will bring a lot of positive energy to our team. He has a playing style that will translate well to college tennis, and I’m looking forward to having him join us.”

The YellowJackets have reached the American Southwest Conference Tournament for the last three seasons.
