The LeTourneau University women’s golf team had a great tournament finishing second as a team at the Tyler Junior College Invite at Pine Springs Golf Course in Tyler.

The YellowJackets played the second round of the tournament on Tuesday and put up another great team score of 335 after an opening round of 340 on Monday.

Freshman Lauren Johnson had another solid round of 84 after an opening round 79 that tied her for fourth overall. The 163 total tied her with teammate Stephanie Mobley who shot a second round 80 to lead the LeTourneau squad. Both Johnson and Mobley made the All-Tournament Team.

Faith Williams followed up her first round 83 with an 86 on Tuesday to finish eighth overall.

Senior Alisa Wilson had a second round of 85 which helped her jump up to a 15th place individual finish. Freshman Stephanie Starr finished in 19th.

The YellowJackets will return to Tyler next week for the Al Jones Jr. Memorial Invitational hosted by UT Tyler at Cascades Country Club.
