BASEBALL

With inclement weather throughout the state, it has impacted the schedule for the LeTourneau University baseball and softball teams.

The plan for the LeTourneau baseball series at McMurry University is now a series opener on Saturday, Mar. 12 at 7:00 p.m., followed by a doubleheader on Sunday, Mar. 13 at 1:00 p.m.

The schedule for the LeTourneau softball series at Concordia University is now a doubleheader on Saturday, Mar. 12 at 4:00 p.m., followed by a single game on Sunday, Mar. 13 at noon.

MEN’S TENNIS

The LeTourneau University men’s tennis team dropped a tough 9-0 decision to Belhaven University on Wednesday in Jackson, Mississippi.

The YellowJackets lost a pair of close decisions at No. 1 and three doubles. At No. 1 doubles, the tandem of Michael McLaughlin and Morgan Weaver lost 8-5 to Tomas Ojeda/Harry Amor; then at No. 3 doubles, Curtis Martin and Robby Bundy lost 8-3 to Rafael Siqueira/Pawel Tarasewicz.

Despite not winning a set in singles, LETU were strong in all of its matches including a 6-3, 6-3 loss at No. 1 singles by McLaughlin to Siqueira. Weaver lost 6-3, 6-1 at No. 2 singles to Ojeda and Bundy dropped a 6-2, 6-1 decision to Lopez.

The YellowJackets will continue its Spring Break trip with three matches in four days. They will face Point University on Thursday at 3:00 p.m. in Mobile, Alabama.

WOMEN’S TENNIS

The LeTourneau University women’s tennis team started its Spring Break Trip with a 9-0 loss to Belhaven University on Wednesday in Jackson, Mississippi.

The YellowJackets’ Terin Murray dropped a 6-0, 6-1 decision at No. 2 singles as LETU only picked up one point in the match.

LETU continues its Spring Break Trip as they head to the Gulf Shores in Alabama for three games in four days. First, LETU will face Point University on Thursday afternoon at 3:00 p.m. in Mobile, Alabama.
