Paris – Last night Paris and North Lamar took to the track for their district meet. The Atlanta Rabbits won the varsity boys side with 189 total points. North Lamar finished 3rd and Paris 4th. Liberty Eylau won the girls meet with 196 points. Paris with a forth place finish. North Lamar was fifth.
District baseball and softball action tonight will feature round two of the crosstown showdown, this time at Pos Long Field on the North Lamar Campus. The Wildcats and Panthers can be heard live on KOYN 93.9. Pre game begins at 6:20. First pitch is at 6:30. And the Prairiland Patriots and Lady Patriots will travel to New Boston.
Mount Pleasant – Last night in high school softball in district 15-5A the Mt. Pleasant Lady Tigers and Sulphur Springs Lady Cats finally..FINALLY get their originally scheduled Tuesday game in. In a slugfest the Lady Tigers came out on top 11-8. With the victory Mt. Pleasant softball improves to 9-2 in district play. Tonight the Mt. Pleasant baseball and softball teams will take on Hallsville with the girls at home and the boys on the road. Also, the Chapel Hill Red Devils and Lady Devils host Mt. Vernon beginning with softball at 5:30. Baseball will follow. And the Pittsburg Pirates and Lady Pirates will host Liberty Eylau. Lady Pirate softball begins at 6.
Sulphur Springs – Last night in high school softball in district 15-5A the Sulphur Springs Lady Cats and Mt. Pleasant Lady Tigers finally..FINALLY get their originally scheduled Tuesday game played. In a slugfest the Lady Tigers came out on top 11-8. The loss gives the Sulphur Springs softball team a 7-4 record. District play will continue tonight with Sulphur springs baseball and softball taking on the Greenville Lions with the Wildcats at home at 7pm. The Lady Cats are on the road at 6. And the Mt. Vernon Tigers and Lady Tigers will visit the Chapel Hill Red Devils and Lady Devils. Softball action begins at 5:30, baseball will follow. And the Winnsboro Red Raiders and Lady Raiders travel to Alba-Golden. Game times are 6 and 7pm.

The Dallas Stars begin the Stanley Cup playoffs with a convincing 4-0 win over the Minnesota Wild. Game two of the best of seven series is back at the AAC tomorrow night with puck drop at 7pm.
