Local Businesses Engage Students At Career Event

Micaela Frankland from Paris Veterinarian Clinic compares the ribs of a cow to that of a student as she tells about the business of a veterinarian.

Businesses from the surrounding Paris area recently participated in the Everett Elementary Career Day. Owners and business representatives were on-hand to speak to the second and third-grade classes as they rotated from station to station learning about different careers. Among those businesses and individuals who helped the North Lamar students realize what they may want to become were TXDOT, Hart Electric, Keyonie Frazee – bee keeper, Dr. Louis Trenchard – orthodontist, Paris Veterinarian Clinic, Carol Medrzychi – Starrcrest Westies Breeder/Owner/Handler, Barbara Moore – Pomeranian Breeder/Owner/Handler, North Lamar Chief of Police Mike Boaz, Zach Michael physical therapist and owner of Xzact Therapy, Paris Fire Department, Kona Ice, Tammy Johnston for the Boy Scouts, Lamar Electric, and Brandy Baggett with The Rub Club.
