Devon Womack from Rivercrest and North Lamar’s Kobey Emeyabbi have both decided to continue their football careers at the next level. Both students will be joining Southeast Oklahoma in Durant.
The North Lamar Panthers baseball team held media days yesterday to unveil a new uniform and let the players talk to the media.

In case you haven’t heard, the NFL concludes its 100th season when Super Bowl LIV gets underway in Miami on Sunday (Feb 2). The matchup is the San Francisco 49ers from the NFC vs. the Kansas City Chiefs from the AFC. Super Bowl LIV (which stands for Super Bowl 54) kicks off at approximately 5:30 pm Texas Time.
The City of Whitehouse is in full support of its most famous school alumni and has even gone as far as to dedicate a day in his honor. The city declared Feb. 2 as “Patrick Mahomes Day” in dedication to the Kansas City Chiefs’ Quarterback and Whitehouse ISD alumni.

Baylor has won ten of its last 13 games against Iowa State. Rasir Bolton led the Cyclones with 19 points and Tyrese Haliburton scored 16.
ASC
American Southwest Conference recognized a total of 493 student-athletes from 12 members and two affiliate institutions on its 2019 Fall Academic All-Conference list. ASC’s office announced the members and included the sports of men’s and women’s cross country, football, men’s and women’s soccer, and volleyball. Student-athletes from Gilmer, Greenville, Kilgore, Lindale, Lone Oak, Pittsburg, and Winnsboro are on the list that is on our website.

Lion Athletics named Texas A&M University-Commerce student athletic trainer Cesar Torres the Under Armour Student-Athlete of the Week. Torres, a senior from Mexico City, is an athletic training student who has been in the athletic training internship program since Fall 2017.
