Local Physician Strong Supporter Of New Bill

A new bill passed by the state legislature will require payers to cover biomarker testing in cancer and other chronic diseases. The bill goes into effect in September. Paris physician Dr. Chris Prakesh of Texas Oncology lobbied hard for the bill and testified to favor the valuable testing. He said the biomarker testing goes a long way in improving oncology and other chronic disease treatment.
