Longtime Area Lawman Dies

A long-time area lawman has died at the age of 70 at his home in Hugo. Billy Don Booker served in the Navy during the Vietnam war. Following his discharge, he worked for Paris Police Department, Lamar County Sheriff’s Office, Oklahoma Highway Patrol for over 25 years, and the Choctaw County Sheriff’s Department.
