Riley Green tells Cowboys & Indians magazine that he isn’t thrilled with his singing voice. “I never thought I was a really strong singer. I mean, I was carrying a tune well enough to not get booed, but that was about it. Maybe I was playing the same bars every week and those people that I saw were the same people every week. But they’d come back and start singing my songs that I wrote and they would request them. So that was a little bit of a confidence builder in my songwriting … definitely cutting my teeth in a small town like that helped me gain a little bit of confidence and maybe look at it as something that I could make a living doing.”

Still, hospital living with my trooper of a hub and a precious little girl. One blood transfusion and swollen everything. We’ve been in the hospital for days now, and I’m ready to take these fat little piggies home.”

For my 40th birthday, as a surprise, he flew my mom and dad — who now are both gone — and my sister to Oklahoma, where we were living. Then he sent my mom, my sister and I to New York for a Broadway show, dinner, a shopping spree so we’d have cool clothes to wear to the theater, while he babysat my dad and my sister’s husband. That extravagant, crazy thing created a memory for me and my sister — now that my mama’s gone — that is priceless.”

A source tells the website; “Gwen looks forward to marrying Blake but it’s not something she spends a lot of time thinking about. With Valentine’s Day coming up, she has started buzzing that this might be the time and place for the big proposal. Gwen’s sure a proposal’s coming one day, she just has no idea when or where and she does enjoy the guessing and the suspense. One thing Gwen never does though is pressure Blake or even bring it up unless it’s in a joking way. But if he does finally pop the question on Valentine’s Day, Gwen will be elated.”
