A Louisiana couple is accused of robbing an East Texas Walmart at gunpoint and hitting a Good Samaritan with their vehicle when he tried to stop them. 32-year-old LeTroy Merritt and 20-year-old Zaira Patterson, both of Shreveport were arrested by the Western Louisiana US Marshal’s Task Force. Merritt was an Assistant Manager of a Walmart in Tyler, and investigators say he played an major part in planning and executing the robbery. The couple is awaiting extradition back to Smith County. A total of five people have now been charged with robbing the Walmart
