Low Income Women In Texas Will Get Federal Health Program Funding

Texas will resume getting federal funding for women’s health programs. Eight years ago, Texas lost access to the federal money because it barred Planned Parenthood from a state-run health program for low-income women. The decision by Texas to exclude Planned Parenthood was part of Republican efforts to defund the nation’s largest abortion provider.
