Lubbock Man Dies In Gilmer Hit and Run

The DPS is continuing its investigation into a fatal weekend hit and run that occurred on Hwy 300 early Saturday morning near Gilmer.  45 year old Ronnie Gonzales of Lubbock was found dead at the scene in the middle of the road.  Investigators say evidence found at the scene included black metal fragments and skid marks indicating the suspect vehicle may have been an 18 wheeler or a dually. Gonzalez was reportedly dragged after he was struck.
