Luke Bryan’s Concert Cutback In Today’s Nashville Insider

Luke Bryan tells WEBG that he plans to cut back on touring. “We knew when I took on Idol that it was going to take up a lot of my offseason time. Next year, I’m probably going to trim a few dates of the tour. I just kinda need to settle in that mold of not doing 100 shows a year and scale back a hair. I’ve got to start looking at like baseball schedules because my boys are getting to where, in the Spring, they are playing baseball. They are old enough to know that Dad’s halfway across the world.”

Jon Pardi tells People magazine that he is scared of brown recluse spiders.“Brown recluse spiders in your bed. That’s really scary. We found this huge brown recluse … I let everybody know they’re called ‘recluse’ because they like to hide in dark, cool places. … I’m studying these guys. I’m not getting bit by one. I’ve seen pictures of the bites and it’s not fun. Black flesh, skin grafts. That’s probably the scariest thing in my life right now.”

Keith Urban tells Pop Culture Country that he needed Merle Haggard’s wife to bless his song ‘Coming Home.’ “I called up Theresa Haggard when we created a lot of this song, so that she knew what we were working on, and that I had the utmost respect for Merle. I wanted her blessing on this track.”

Kenny Chesney tells GQ magazine that he’s a very strict eater. “I load up on carbs early. I don’t eat any after 5:00, whether on or off the road. The key is developing a pattern. I’m an emotional eater. We all are. I was brought up not eating this way. And when you have that kind of focus on your diet, there’s no social life. Your friends, your girlfriend, everybody wants to go out and have drinks. But when you’re on this kind of specific diet, you look kind of weird when you go to a restaurant and bring your dinner with you, because it has to be measured.”

Jake Owen tells Pop Culture Country that life is much better when you’re positive. “You want to get up in the morning and be positive, then positive things are most likely going to happen because positive energy attracts positive energy… To me, whether it’s your business or your life in general as a whole, you have this moment of time here, what are you going to do with it?”

Jason Aldean tells CNN what he would do if he became President. “Well, first of all, I wouldn’t want to be president. But if I was, the first thing I’d probably do is do away with taxes. But I know every politician says they’re going to do that, and they’re all liars. But I would actually really try to do that. That would be beneficial to everybody. Or at least give a flat tax across the board — everybody pays, you know whatever, 20%.”
