Major Detour In Pittsburg

Motorists who usually travel SH 11 in Pittsburg must find an alternate route on Tuesday, Feb 21. Kansas City Southern plans to conduct maintenance work on their crossing at SH 11. As a result, the area will be closed to through traffic on this date. Traffic will detour on a signed route on US 271 / SL 179. Workers will place portable message boards near the railroad crossing to warn motorists of the scheduled road closure. The construction schedule and road closure can change due to inclement weather or other unforeseen problems.
