Major Drug Bust By Hopkins County Deputies

A routine traffic stop on I-30 east of Sulphur Springs by a Hopkins County Deputy has resulted in a major drug bust. Because of the driver’s extreme nervousness, a search of the vehicle was conducted and 18 pounds of suspected methamphetamine worth about $3.6 million was seized. The suspect was arrested, but his name is not being released, as the case remains under investigation.
