Major East Texas Timber Purchase

CatchMark Timber Trust is purchasing 1.1 million acres of East Texas timberland for nearly $1.4 billion. The land is in multiple locations, mostly south of the Tyler and Longview area. CatchMark says the timberland is close to top lumber mills and near Austin, Dallas, and Houston, some of the top homebuilding markets in the country.
