A Bowie County man has been arrested for murdering his girlfriend Thursday morning. Twenty-seven-year-old Travis Turner of Texarkana is accused of fatally shooting 29-year-old Jennifer Garrett. She was found dead by police conducting a welfare check. Turner is being held in the Bi-State Jail.
