Pontotoc County charged 53-year-old Larry Sanders with murdering Jimmy Knighten after a confrontation between the two men while they were noodling. Investigators say Knighten was beaten and strangled. They initially arrested Sanders on an outstanding warrant before Knighten’s body was found by Pontotoc and Seminole Counties Deputies and OSBI agents.
