Man Dead After Officer Involved Shooting Near Idabel

A 39-year-old man is dead due to an officer-involved shooting Sunday night in the Golden-Glover area west of Broken Bow. McCurtain County Deputies responded to a domestic disturbance involving a man attacking his mother. Officers located Franklin Gray outside the residence, and he began fighting with deputies. Investigators say he ripped the holster from the Deputy’s belt, and the weapon discharged. Deputies then tased Gray but were unsuccessful. A Deputy fatally shot Gray during the altercation, but no officers were injured.
